This is a significant blog post for me. Significant for two reasons: Firstly, I am writing this blog straight from my iPhone onto the word press app. Now I know seasoned bloggers probably do this all the time, but for me this is significant.

Second, this is a result of me being tagged in someone else's blog. Get me!!! I don't usually fit well in the blogging world. Too many confusing rules and socially acceptable ways of doing things. I am too scared of offending someone or making a mistake - so I usually just jolly along doing my own thing. The very pulchitrudinous @himupnorth has tagged me so I shall humbly comply.

On with the show!

This is a meme about firsts. I think meme is a blogging word. I don't really know but since @himupnorth called it such, and he is widely respected as the king of bloggers I shall go along with the meme thing.

First Kiss

A memory I'd rather forget. I was 15 and had spent the evening being plied with archers and orange juice by Alex Boughton. He walked me home - hitched me onto the bonnet of my dad's car and did something rather disgusting with his lips. That is all I care to say about that.

First Guy I Slept With

... Was, in fact, my husband - and not until he was, indeed, my husband. Some things are worth waiting for - and that was one of them.

First Time I Fainted

Picture the scene. I was 16. First thing in the morning, puffy face complete with pillow creases, mascara round my eyes and bed hair. I was wearing my little sister's too-small candy stripe pyjamas - on which I had leaked blood. As I walked into the kitchen to get some paracetamol I fainted spectacularly, tripping over the dog and cracked my head on the corner of the oven. Never have I been more embarrassed to be whisked off to hospital.

First Time I Left Home

In the summer of '96 straight after my A-Levels, I rebelled against university for a few months and took a year out to gain crucial life experience. I moved in with some friends and got a very exciting job in a chocolate factory. yep I was actually a real life Oompa Loompa.

First Video I Ever Rented

I honestly have no clue. Though it was probably something like The Mask or Dumb and Dumber. I don't have a very mature sense of humour :-/

First Word I Spoke

Much as I'd like to be able to tell you that it was a normal word like 'mum' or 'car', it was in fact 'sausages'. Which probably explains my continued obsession with all things edible.

I choose the following inspirational and gorgeous mummies to pass the 'Firsts' meme baton to.
