Ben's GemsWho am I?

Ben did you know that there was once a volcano that erupted so fiercely that it caused huge tidal waves and over 200,000 people were killed? That’s really sad isn’t it? Oh mum that’s a lot – 200,000 is the number of studs I need to collect on my Play Station starwars game to earn Captain Grievous!

I am Ben and I am five.

I have a mummy and daddy who love me very much. I love them too all the way to heaven and back. I like to call heaven dead-land - because that’s where people go when they die and they are very old.

I like reading books about the solar system. I know lots of interesting things about planets like Neptune and Jupiter. Did you know that Saturn has 62 moons and the biggest one is called Titan? Did you know that Titan is covered in lakes? I would like to go to Titan. I would climb up by ladder and slide down on a curly slide. To get a slide coming down I would have to close my eyes and use my imagination. But I can’t really go to Titan as it is very very very cold and I would be freezing.

My favourite colour is orange. Orange is the colour for being brave. Yellow is the colour for being happy and red is the colour for being angry. Sometimes I get angry. Sometimes when I am angry my whole body gets cross too and I do things that grownups don’t like.

I go to school. I have got a sticker for being a super huge rocket blaster good boy this week. Sometimes I don’t like school. I don’t like playtime when I stand on my own by the door – it is boring and my hands get cold. I don’t like PE. We have PE on Mondays and Thursdays. I only like PE when we go on the ropes and climbing frame. I dont’ like it when we have to do the balances.

Horses and ponies are for girls. They are girlish. I am a boy so I like boys things like sweets and chips and nuggets. When I grow up I want to be an ice cream man and I even want to be a drummer. On Saturdays I have drumming lessons. I am very good at drumming – even better than the best drummer in the world.

I am Ben and I am five.

What did you learn in school today Ben? "Well I learnt that I don't like onion and that when you see sick on a chair you shouldn't really sit on it."

Driving past Chatsworth House one day... "Mum, can we go to that big pub for a drink?"

Mummy I had to tell my leg off today for being so naughty. It lost control and jerked out hitting Kyle in the head. I was very cross with my foot for hurting someone deliberately - but it definitely wasn't me.

"Mum I'm freeeezing but I don't want to put any more clothes on, I'm freezing on the inside so if I eat some hot dinner my tummy's central heating might turn on."

"So how did God get the idea into your tummy?" Well, he put a special seed there that grows into a baby " Wow, God is clever, so how does the seed get in?" erm.. well, mummy and daddy had a nice cuddle and the seed went in mummy's tummy "Wow mum, that is fantastic!"

"Is Jesus with God?" yes Ben "How can I go to heaven to see God?", well, when you are reeeally old, you will die and go to heaven, "Oh, so when I am old will I dive out my bedroom window and go to heaven?", erm probably not, you might die laying in your bed-but only when you reeeeally old. "in my bed? But Jesus dived and went to heaven mummy".-Lol-how to explain the difference between dying and diving to a 3 yr old?!

Daddy: Ben will you just sit down before I lose my rag!
Ben: But Dad - where is your rag? Oh no - Mummy, Daddy doesn't know where his rag is! Where is it dad? Dad can you not find your rag?
Mummy: crying with laughter at a very grumpy Daddy and a very funny Ben hee hee

Hi Amy. Do you still live in Africa? I found Africa on my map and in my world atlas. Did you know earth is a sphere shape and most of it’s surface is covered in the sea? Are there lots of ants in Africa? Bye xx

You could drive here now and bring some then I could take one in my school lunch bag. Do you want to come to the secret woods with me again? Love you to heaven and back xxxxxxxxccxxxxxxc

    Ben

hello it’s Ben. I have my very own log on now – just for me and not for mummy. It is school again today and I am just playing google maps on mummy’s ipod. I have found my church and my grandma’s house. Did you know that walking to my new Grandma’s house would take one whole day and 4 hours. But if you drive in a car it only takes 2 hours and 14 minutes. When my daddy drives it takes just a few minutes because he drives like this – zooom!
    goodbye
